About the Role
Our friendly St John's team at Toowong have an opportunity for an experienced, creative and motivated individual to join them as a part time actvities Officer.
With a can do attitude and a positive look towards life you will be:
- Assisting in the development of the individual therapy programs;
- Supporting the physical care needs of the residents when required;
- Participate in the assessment, writing and implementation of care plans; and
- Taking into consideration the physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs of each person.
To be successful for this position we require you to have:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills;
- A demonstrated intermediate knowledge and usage of computer programs and applications;
- A strong customer focus and efficient organisational skills are necessary;
- Certificate III in Aged Care;
- Partial (or full) diversional therapy qualifications are well considered but not essential;
- Experience as an Activities Officer is essential; and
- Experience as a personal care worker well regarded.
In addition you will be required to have a current police check or be eligible to receive one prior to commencing.
