About the Role
A recent restructure of our Community and Aged Care services has created an exciting career opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our leadership team.
Reporting to the newly created role of Group Manager Support Services, the Domestic Services Manager will develop and implement contemporary service models for all domestic services (cleaning, kitchen and laundry) related to in-home, residential care, and centre-based respite/day care across the Community and Aged Care stream.
Working closely and collaboratively with service managers, this role will ensure that all domestic services meet community and aged care accreditation, licensing, infection control and mandatory food safety standards.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing policies and guidelines related to domestic services that meet legislative requirements and provide clear direction to domestic services staff;
- (In conjunction with Service Managers at the local level) overall leadership of the broader domestic services teams throughout Spiritus, ensuring all employees providing domestic services are adequately trained to meet competency standards.

Key Selection Criteria
- Senior Management experience in hotel services, preferably in a health, community or aged care services environment. or relevant demonstrable experience from another sector;
- Demonstrable experience in the management of a diverse and highly regulated group of services across different geographical locations and settings;
- Experience in leading large multi-disciplinary teams;
- Knowledge and understanding of the industry standards applicable to food preparation, domestic cleaning support and laundry services, and the ability to apply these across a large network of domestic services;
- Demonstrated experience in successful change management and the building of a strong success-oriented and empowered team culture.
- Demonstrated mature interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to motivate and work with staff in the achievement of organizational goals within a team environment;
- High level of problem solving and decision making skills;
- Proven ability to implement, review and modify service delivery models, and proactively critique and offer alternative solutions.
